Disney Junior’s newest show The Lion Guard which premiered just last month, already has its own attraction in Walt Disney World! “The Lion Guard Adventure” as it is titled, is oh so appropriately located Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park.

“Here Comes the Lion Guard Adventure!
For a limited time only, Disney’s Animal Kingdom park is hosting a lion-sized adventure—just for kids!
From February 7 through early April, 2016, fans of the new Disney Junior hit TV show The Lion Guard can answer the call of the wild with an unforgettable family adventure.
Kion, the lion cub son of Simba and Nala and future king of the Pride Lands, has come to the park to find new friends to join the Lion Guard. But where is Kion—and where are his fellow protectors of the Pride Lands: Ono, Bunga, Fuli and Beshte?
Come on! It’s time to grab a Lion Guard Adventure guide map and start exploring the park. The Lion Guard friends— represented by 5 colorful, kid-size animal statues (perfect for photo ops!)—are “hidden” across the 5 animal-themed lands, and waiting to be discovered by your young explorer!
Help your adventurers find all 5 characters, and they can become honorary members of the Lion Guard and fellow protectors of the Circle of Life!”

How It Works:
The fun begins when you pick up a Lion Guard Adventure guide map, found exclusively at these Disney’s Animal Kingdom merchandise locations:
Outpost Shop (near Oasis, at theme park entrance)
Island Mercantile (near Tree of Life, on Discovery Island)
Maharajah Cart (near Maharajah Jungle Trek, in Asia)
Mariya’s Souvenirs (near Festival of the Lion King, in Africa)
Mombasa Marketplace (near Tusker House, in Africa)
Rafiki’s Planet Watch (near Conservation Station, via Wildlife Express Train)
The guide map is full of kid-friendly facts and clues to engage your child’s curiosity and inspire them as future “protectors” of wildlife. The map includes a list of special attributes for each Lion Guard character, which your child can later match to the 5 statues once they’ve found them.
The adventures conclude with a Wildlife Express Train ride to Rafiki’s Planet Watch, where your child can take the Lion Guard pledge, receive a Lion Guard shield button and become an official member of the Guard—and then be congratulated by Rafiki himself!

All ages are welcome and there is no height requirement which is a very kind way of saying yes, even you millennials can play along too with the four year olds. We sure know we would!
