Karen’s housewarming party wasn’t going to be exactly a celebration… Candiace and Gizelle’s fight was the highlight of The Real Housewives of Potomac episode on August 23. Candiace Dillard decided to apologize to others that day.
Candiace finally made up with Ashley Darby, but when she asked Gizelle Bryant if they could talk. But while she tried apologizing for all the mean tweets she posted about Gizelle’s house, things would soon go sideways.
During the confessional, Gizelle said to the camera: “Last I heard, I was the biggest monster under the sun. So I must be the friendly ghost monster if Candiace wants to chat with me. I don’t know what it is.”
The two ladies walked away from the group to talk privately. Candiace told Gizelle “I wanted to talk to you because I did not intend to be messy. So if that upset you, I just wanted to apologize for that.”
When hearing those words, Gizelle had no idea how to react, so she just said “Ok… um…” before Candiace said, “that’s it.” Then, in the confessional, Gizelle said that she wouldn’t accept that kind of apology: “No, girl. You’re not going to moonwalk, crypt walk, electric slide your way through this conversation.”

So, after Candiace cut her off with the “that’s it” part, Gizelle couldn’t take it anymore, so she quickly replied: “o, there was that. Recently, I was talking to Robyn, who was able to spend some time with Wendy, and apparently you told Wendy that I’m a mean monster. So she’s looking at me like, ‘Oh, I’m waiting for the mean monster to show up.’ And that is wrong. And it’s rude, and it’s immature.”
Candiace started to say “I don’t understand why…,” but Gizelle was quick to reply “so you’re saying you didn’t say it?” That’s when Candiace says “I may have said that. Nothing that I said was malicious or mal-intent. And I don’t think you believe that either, but that wasn’t mean to be malicious.”

Gizelle then shot back at Candiace, saying that it was mean: “I believe you meant to be mean, and nasty, and you thought you were funny, and it’s not.” We will see this Sunday what The Real Housewives of Potomac are up to.
