Quin Snyder started as a player but his professional career began as an assistant coach for the Los Angeles Clippers in 1992.
In 1993 Snyder worked as an administrative assistant for Duke under head coach Krzyzewski. Later he became the assistant coach of the team and guided the team Duke to win ACC Tournament in 1999.
Quin Snyder was appointed as head coach of the Missouri Tigers of the University of Missouri in 1999. He coached the team for another seven years.
During his service, Missouri Tigers improved a lot and got victory over ranked teams like the teams from Illinois and Kansas.
It was Missouri Tiger’s first-ever victory at the NCAA Championship and Quin was named the Rookie Coach of the Year the same season. He resigned from Missouri Tigers in 2006 over a dispute.
In 2007, he joined the Austin Toros and led the team to the D-League finals. He was awarded the Dennis Johnson Coach of the Year award in 2009.
Snyder left the team in 2010. He worked as a player development coach for NBA’s Philadelphia 76ers for another year.
From 2011 to 2014 he continued serving for different teams national and international like Los Angeles Lakers (2011-2012), PBC CSKA Moscow (2012-2013), and Atlanta Hawks (2013-2014).
And since 2014 he works with the Utah Jazz as its head coach to the present day.
Snyder was named as the Western Conference head coach for the 2021 NBA All-Star Game as a result of his team’s NBA-best 23–5 record on February 18, 2021.
Quin Snyder resigned as head coach of the Jazz after eight seasons with a 372-264 regular-season record on June 5, 2022.
