While working on an album in 2008, Harris reported that his laptop, which contained the only copy of the project, had been lost. Eventually; however, it was revealed that Harris fabricated the story so that he could have more time to work on the album.
3. Calvin Harris was discovered on MySpace.
Like many modern music artists, Calvin Harris was discovered via the Internet. After being discovered on the once popular website, MySpace, Harris was offered a record deal with Sony BMG records.
